Please try to view this work without any negative prejudice or preprogramming caused by its title. I felt that this particular piece in the "unresolved issues" series contained a unique subtly that seems to emit a pure and transparent glow. And, now the paradox the title. While this work seems to express a feeling of clarity and purity. The word nigger sparks within our minds the exact opposite. But, as Shakespeare wrote, whats in a name? Now supposing that the word nigger meant and defined beauty, clarity, and purity. And, like any other word, if said enough times, it would lose its negative racially divisive meaning. But, the reality is that it doesn't. Why? Because we as a society have accepted and chosen to make this word a derogatory label pinned on an underprivileged class of people. Furthermore and more paradoxically, an underclass we collectively created and continue to perpetuate globally. We have all failed to see that we are all one united system and mechanism. One inseparable balance in an eternal stream of consciousness. Therefore, release those negative stereotypes attached to this word and attempt to redefine this word in your mind and see this work as nigger and beautiful. Free yourself from your attachment to the meaninglessness of words remembering that words are limited points of reference. Thereby, realizing that the only tangible reality we should only adhere to are the more powerful feelings so often hidden behind limited words, preconceived ideas, and societal programming we have adopted as comfort zones. Finally, I ask you to free yourself and follow that endless current that lies underneath our limited system of human vocabulary and go into the heart and essence of feelings, sensitivity, and unadulterated understanding.
